Take coconut oil and olive oil in together and heat on medium to low heat, keep measuring the temperature with the metal meat thermometer, till it reaches 110 degree Fahrenheit.Use goggles and gloves, while mixing water and Iye in the glass beaker; be careful not to inhale the fume. Now place the second thermometer to make sure the temperature reaches same as that of the oil mixture.

Now mix the Iye and oil solution by pouring the Iye solution into the oil container. Keep stirring and whisking the mixture, until you get glue like substance. Now pour in the essential oils and keep stirring. There are varieties of herbal products to be used in this phase, as per the particular dosha of a person.

In case you are a vata person, add spikenard, licorice and ginger essential oils for warmth. For the kaphadosha grapefruit and lemon grass is perfect, whereas pitta dosha people need to add rose and winter cherry that fight against the heat generated by the body.
