Some of them are home care services provider and are capable of offering round the clock services. 
•  Tertiary practice is done by special consultation, which is done for inpatients and after secondary or primary referral of healthcare practitioners. These include cardiac surgery, cancer treatment, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, palliative, treatment for severe burns as well as neonatal services. Usually they involve complex and very critical surgeries and intense medicines to treat the patient. 
•   Uncommon surgical procedures or diagnosis are often termed as quaternary care and they include advanced level of specialized services that are rarely used. Very few countries offer healthcare in this segment. 
•  Community and home care basically concentrates on food safety, public health interest, distribution of condoms and needle-exchange programmes to prevent transmissible diseases.

Preventive measures need to be taken, in order to reduce the impact of various life threatening diseases like AIDS; which spreads due to various reasons. It can be prevented by better education on sexually transmitted diseases, encouraging people to use protection and maintaining a healthy life style.

It’s the responsibility of a practitioner to offer adequate treatment and consultation and refer the patient to a specialist, in case he is not able to handle the situation.
