A boiler is defined as a closed
vessel in which water or other liquid fluid is being heated for the purpose of
cooking, power generation, sanitation and central heating. The boiler can be
heated by much ways-wood, oil, coal or through natural gas. The heated and
vaporized fluid is then further used for many industrial purposes. Boilers comenow in various variations and each boiler has its specific design and work
which make it different from another. Some of the basic boilers are Water tube
boilers, Fire tube boilers, flash boiler, sectional boilers and pot boilers
which is a primitive form of boiler used in form of kettle for boiling water,
tea and making other such things. It is not always necessary that every boiler is
required to boil the liquid fluid.
Package Boilers are the modern
version of steam boilers. They are custom designed according to the evaporating
capacity and size required for it. Package Boilers are in demand now days as
they are cheaper than other boilers and are easy to install and require less
human attention as these boilers automatically manage their water and burner
level. They are good for the smaller level of work as for large scale power;
more efficient and custom designed boilers are being made.
The mechanism of package boiler is
arranged in one or two pass fire tube boilers with an internal furnace tube. These
package boilers are either fired through liquid or gas and burns cleaning
without requiring ash pan or grates as solid fuel material requires. And thus
does not require manual stroking. Package boilers have in-built fan that cuts
down the requirement of large chimneys and thus saving the cost. In this, fuel is
being inserted though spray nozzles supplied by either a compressed air supply
or by fuel pump.
