The types of electrical relay and their functions

The electric relay as everyone knows is a switch which is controlled with the use of a circuit. These are used in cases where a number of circuits are to be controlled by using a single signal. The Electrical relays mostly use the electro magnets in order to operate the switch. This is operated mechanically.  These were widely used in amplifiers and telegraphs in the olden days. These were also used in computers as well as telephone exchange to perform the logical functions.

The electric relays are microprocessor chips which are isolated and which help to block the un- necessary trips and the faults which occur in the electric circuits. Hence, these help and protect the motors from damages which might occur due to voltage inconsistency. These are used in many electrical products to help them run efficiently. These are available at the local electrical relays suppliers.

Any electric relay has four parts which include the electromagnet, the armature which gets attracted by the electromagnet, a spring and few electrical contacts. One of the examples of the electric relays is the car starting system. Whenever the driver turns the car key, the ignition turns on and this is not a direct process with the car’s battery. Instead, there lies an interface of an electric relay which gets activated and the signal to the car is passed on through this relay. After the signal is passed the car starts. The relays can be used for various functions based on the usage of the same.

In today’s world we find the use of electric relays in almost all the appliances which run through power and electricity. For any complex circuits one can find the heavy duty relays which are available with the electrical relays suppliers who ensure that you get the best quality products without any hassles.
