Gear
Motors are used to reduce force in any mechanical operation by series of
connected gears. Gears are round in shape and have tooth. The main idea of gear
motor is that it reduces direct force on machine and with low horsepower
generates more energy or force. Earlier
gear motors used to be very complex in design and were even costly. But with
the technical advancement, the gear motors are now much simpler and economical.
This makes it useful in machineries that require high load shifting. The speed
of gear motor is measured in Round per minute (RPMs) and is made with different
RPMs for different usage. Generally, it ranges from 1200 to 3600 RPMs.
