We see thousands of machines running in every sector of the industry and some equipment performs right in front of our eyes. Heat Exchangers work behind the scenes. These wonderful machines work, so that the household or industrial equipment it is built in to support, stays cool and up for performance.

Heat Exchangers work efficiently to transfer heat from one medium to the other, while both the media are kept separate through a solid wall to prevent them, getting in contact with each other. Air conditioning, space heating, chemical plants, refrigeration, petrochemicals and power plants make use of these heat exchanging machineries.

Sewage treatment and natural gas processing plants also use the technology of a heat exchanger.The best example of heat exchangers is the coolants in an internal combustion engine, where it flows through the radiator coils and air passes past the coils. As a result the incoming air is being heated and the coolant gets cooled on the process.

There are varieties of heat exchangers available in the market. We are going through some of them;

Plate heat exchanger, fluid heat exchanger, shell and tube heat exchanger, plate fin heat exchanger, HVAC air coils, spiral heat exchangers and direct contact heat exchangers are the major ones in the industry.

In refrigerators and air conditioning systems, heat exchanger is an integral part, when it breaks down the performance of the appliance drops down and the power consumption shots up. Compressors in both the above machines are the exchangers of heat, which keep them fit and active, save your electricity bill and make you a satisfied consumer.
