Aluminum alloys and its practical usage in industries

Aluminium is a metal. An Alloy is a homogenous mixture of two or more metals or a metal and a non-metal in definite proportion. Aluminium alloys are used widely in the manufacture of aircrafts due to their high strength to weight ratio. They are also majorly in engineering structures. Apart from these industrial uses they are also used for common household utensils and appliances etc.Metals that are used for making these alloys include: manganese, copper, zinc, silicon and magnesium. Aluminium and its alloys are also widely used in the automotive sector. They are widely used for manufacturing vehicles and their parts. It is considered a great alternative for many of other metals. Hence from this we can understand that aluminium alloys have a great importance. 

Aluminium is a metal that does not rust away on exposure to the exposure to the environment like other metals for example:steel. It is a metal that could be recycled hence it is of a great environmental benefit. It has sizeable scrap value. The most important thing to note is that it does not lose its properties on recycling. Hence it is a very important metal and has wide usage. Aluminium alloys are making their progress towards being a substitute for steel. Earlier it faced resistance but now due to the technical advancement it is towards making its way clear. It is said that more than 70% of the automotive aluminum can be sourced from recycled metal. These figures are given by Aluminum Association Inc. it is believed that this metal will also be extensively used in manufacturing electrical vehicles. 

In the coming year’saluminum and its alloys will be extensively for various purposes in different sectors.
