The growing need of dehydrated Garlic

Garlic being the main spice of many Indian and foreign cuisines, is found in almost all the homes. But keeping garlic at home in form of flakes is much easier than fresh garlic bulbs. Garlic can easily be dehydrated and stored for a longer period with the same flavor. The dehydration of garlic is very simple. The garlic cloves are first peeled and then minced in almost uniform sizes. After this, they are put in a dehydration tray and if someone has dehydrating machine at home, they can prepare it at home also with this simple procedure. But, at the end, these garlic flakes have to be wrapped in cheese cloth and beaten by hammer to form smaller flakes.

In market, it is available with the mix of garlic powder and salt but many super stores are having original garlic flakes as well which are much healthier than the mixed one. They are bit expensive but then the benefits that they provide are also great. They can easily be added in many items like soups and stews for better flavor of these items. Fried garlic flakes can be added to meat loaf as it gives great taste to the final product. Generally, any dish that is made in gravy can use these flakes as it simply absorbs in it with its moisture content. Another main advantage of dried garlic is that it is dissolved totally in the cuisine whereas fresh garlic can be seen as granules which are not liked by some people. Dehydrated garlic manufactures are now making garlic flakes with a fool proof technology so that it can be hygienic and healthier for humans. Garlic being medicinal in nature is used a lot for such purposes. Some of the major diseases that it keeps away are high blood pressure and it also helps in reducing high cholesterol.
