Vending Machine Controller Manufacturers: future is bright

When you think of vending machines, you usually think of machines stocked with consumer food items or beverages. You pop in a coin and out pops your selection. However, vending machines are also used in an industrial environment to dispense tools and parts with automatic inventory control and replenishment software. Today consumer vending machines or industrial vending machines are equipped with web interface and USB interface, allowing changes, better tracking and replenishment. Vending machines accept coins, notes and even credit cards or tokens. All these features are controlled by a single board or a number of boards for different functions. Vending machine manufacturers usually rely on vending machine controller manufacturers to supply them ready to plug in boards according to their specs.

Capable vending machine controller manufacturers are expected to have in-house expertise in analogue and digital hardware development along with associated software machine control coding, prototype development and testing, PCB, technical documentation and production manufacturing to meet bulk requirements in time. The market is flexible, demanding and growing. Some vending machine controller  manufacturers have a stable market for their coin acceptor boards with or without USB/RS232 port and display and/or bill acceptor interface. It is about doing business in bulk and offering a product that can be fitted in on any machine. There is sophistication too in that controller boards are available in 8 or more channel selection types with LCD display, one or more price vend modes and flexibility in configuration with USB or RS232 port for modifying parameters and an Ethernet port for web access or LAN control. A coin acceptor card may cost as little as $ 16 and a full featured, flexible and configurable board may go above $ 100. For vending machine manufacturers, there is no shortage of options and in the end, it makes life easy for buyers at such machines who are now offered wider choices and goods.

Operating a Coin Operated Vending Machine is too easy

Have you ever wondered as a child, how the coin operated vending machine. There are vending machines that work with bills too. Candy and soda machines are available in various models but the basic functionalities remain the same for all of them. The vending machine counts the coins and disburses the candy or soda as well as returns the change.

The major steps involved in a vending machine are recognizing money and delivering the correct items.

  • You view the items over the vending machine and select the desired one, then drop the bill in the respective slot. Once the machine reads the amount over the coin it dispenses the change along with the ordered item from respective outlets.
  • The machine is usually connected to a computer system that scans the coin through its electromagnetic detectors and then matches within the program, with the designated price set for any item.
  • Once the currency is accepted by the coin operated vending machine, the cash is deposited in the box.The metal spirals hold back the item, till the price of the coin is validated and then only then the object is dispensed. While the item is on its way to the outlet, it is scanned by a laser scanner, so that the computer knows that the customer has received his product.

Installing a vending machine is not at all a big deal for you. All you need to do is, go through the user manual and follow the steps one by one. Check for the correct dispersion of coins, so that there won’t be any problem with customers. After a successful demo run for your vending machine allow customers to use it. Make sure for proper maintenance of the machine, to keep it running for a long time.
