Batteries that power up your world

Have you wondered life without batteries? We seldom have the time to stop and analyse the use of various batteries in our day to day life.Starting from your cell phone, to the vehicle that helps you commute, to work every day, everything runs with the help of battery. You might be thinking, how come a bus or train run on battery, when there is electricity and fuels like petrol and diesel to pull them forward. Even if electricity is the source of energy for them, a car started is turned on through the rechargeable car battery, the lights you need at the night or at the turnings, signal and during parking the car, runs on the same battery.

Come to the equipment and gadgets you use daily at home or office, the mobile phone runs with a rechargeable battery, apart from that the UPS used to provide backup to your computer, home or office electricity back up and toys that your kids love to play at home, like their cars, musical instruments and other battery powered dolls; all run through the energy provided by either an electrically charged battery or dry cell primary battery.

Beginning from the torch light to the remote control of the television or music system that entertains us, battery is the only common thing that keeps them function at our commands. The most popular batteries used in everyday life are the dry cell batteries and Lithium ion batteries.

Lithium ion batteries are basically for the electronic equipment and gadgets such as iPods, mobile cellular phones and laptops. Whereas dry cell alkaline batteries are used in torch lights, remote control devices and clocks. The type of battery varies, as per your needs and the kind of gadgets and appliances you use, but the utility remains same; offering you uninterrupted power to perform a task.

Whenever there is need for power, in the absence of electricity batteries are there to fulfil the needs. It is essential to know the user manual of large batteries that are rechargeable and used for automobiles and trucks. These batteries are exposed to hazards of being mishandled and cause grave injuries and accidents to people around it. The chemical is highly explosive, so staying in a safe distance is a better option, in case you are not aware of handling it properly.

Everything that has power has a darker side to it, so things that light up our lives, would sometimes steal everything from us. Be careful while using any kind of battery, alkaline or lithium ion, in order to keep yourself and others safe from any kind of accidental loss.
