Learn to make Homemade Ayurvedic Products like Soap

Ayurvedic Products manufacturing is a vast business in India. These serve as natural remedies for various ailments caused by the various factors of nature and components present within our body. The manufacturing of homemade soap is pretty interesting. I was a keen observer of homemade ayurvedic products making, so with the help of one of my friends, I have tried out this homemade soap.

The things you need to prepare an herbal product vary from each other, depending upon your requirement and the kind of skin you intend to treat. Cleansing the body is essential and with a natural soap it’s an exhilarating experience. We would take a large bowl, 265 gms of olive oil, 452 gm coconut oil, 2 metal meat thermometers, wooden spoon, rubber gloves, 7 ounces Iye, goggles, glass beaker, soap mold of your choice, water equals to the quantity of coconut oil taken and 2 table spoon of essential oil.

Take coconut oil and olive oil in together and heat on medium to low heat, keep measuring the temperature with the metal meat thermometer, till it reaches 110 degree Fahrenheit.Use goggles and gloves, while mixing water and Iye in the glass beaker; be careful not to inhale the fume. Now place the second thermometer to make sure the temperature reaches same as that of the oil mixture.

Now mix the Iye and oil solution by pouring the Iye solution into the oil container. Keep stirring and whisking the mixture, until you get glue like substance. Now pour in the essential oils and keep stirring. There are varieties of herbal products to be used in this phase, as per the particular dosha of a person.

In case you are a vata person, add spikenard, licorice and ginger essential oils for warmth. For the kaphadosha grapefruit and lemon grass is perfect, whereas pitta dosha people need to add rose and winter cherry that fight against the heat generated by the body.

Wow, your soap is now ready to get their shapes. Pour the mixture of Ayurvedic soap into the molds and leave in a dark room for curing. After 6-8 weeks the soaps get cured and ready to get out of the molds. Use these soaps twice a day and enjoy your homemade Ayurvedic products with your signature style.
