Conveyor belts for easy transmission of materials

Conveyor belts can also be called convenience belts on which different materials are passed from one place to another. Conveyor belts consist of two or more pulleys between which these operate. Depending on the load that has to pass through conveyor belts, pulleys are installed.

In the era of automation, where machines have replaced the human efforts, conveyor belts are used as a means for easy transport in machinery and the plant itself. These are now used by almost all the industries by big companies to make product in a secure and healthy way without being touched by human hands. Conveyor belts come in many varieties in size, material used for it, pressure handling and by load ways.

Conveyor belts are mostly used in:
  • Food processing industry where hygiene is the most important and most of the application is done on conveyor belts like heating, baking and packing.
  • Distribution and warehouse being the second largest user of conveyor belts as these provide the means through which materials can be transported easily.
  • At Airports, these belts are used for the transport of luggage at the time of check in and check out.
  • Pharmaceutical, nuclear, machineries and automobile; every industry uses conveyor belts, wherever there is need of transporting goods and a series of work to be done.
Choosing the right conveyor belt according to the need is also a big question. As conveyor belts have different specifications and are decided considering factors like how the product will be loaded on belts, whether the product will travel on incline or decline way, the speed through which product has to travel and the environment in which conveyor belt has to be installed.

Conveyor belt manufacturers produce many varieties. Some of them are Plastic belting and chain, Hinge Metal Belting, General purpose Belts, Woven Wire Belting and Flat Wire Belting.
