The electric relay as everyone knows is a switch which is controlled with the use of a circuit. These are used in cases where a number of circuits are to be controlled by using a single signal. The Electrical relays mostly use the electro magnets in order to operate the switch. This is operated mechanically.  These were widely used in amplifiers and telegraphs in the olden days. Instead, there lies an interface of an electric relay which gets activated and the signal to the car is passed on through this relay. After the signal is passed the car starts. The relays can be used for various functions based on the usage of the same.
